Each year, LLS supports a charity selected by the President with the aim of raising funds at various events that we host throughout the year.
Newly elected President Chimdinma Nwaigwe has selected two charities for his presidential year 2025/2026: Mosaic 1898

‘Mosaic 1898, a visionary, Leicestershire charity dedicated to providing life-enhancing care, services, and opportunities for disabled people and for those who support them. Everything we do is shaped by our commitment to inclusion, equality, independence, choice, empowerment, respect, and dignity for all.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: a society designed with everyone in mind where individual choices are respected, dignity is valued, and diversity is recognised as a source of strength.
We’re helpers, carers, supporters, companions, advocates, and advisers – but above all, we are passionate about walking alongside disabled adults and children in Leicestershire, ensuring they have the support they need not just to live, but to thrive.
For more than 125 years, Mosaic 1898 has been an integral part of the community, standing beside disabled people and their families, challenging barriers, and championing inclusion. Our mission remains: to build a better world where everyone has the acceptance, opportunity, and environment they deserve.’
