Matthew joined Nelsons in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and is now a Partner and the head of the Clinical Negligence team.

His areas of expertise includes medical negligence claims (all types) and medical inquests.

Matthew has nursing experience in most areas of acute hospital care having qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1992.  Matthew is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme and the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel.

Matthew previously was the Society Treasurer and now the President of the Society. His chosen charity for the year is the Leicester Children’s Holidays.
