Conveyancing Solicitor
Dodds Solicitors specialise in family services, criminal defence, conveyancing and wills and probate. Due to growth in this department we are now seeking a candidate to join our Conveyancing team.
For this role you will be expected to complete the following duties:
– Ensure all conveyancing transactions comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
– Deal with all aspects of post-completion, to include SDLT and Requisitions for HMLR.
-Manage and motivate the Conveyancing team.
– Deal with more complex transactions, such as: shared ownership, leasehold matters, lease extensions, sales and purchases of part, plot sales and purchases and right to buy.
– Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the law and implement changes necessary to comply with the law.
– Provide a high-quality residential conveyancing service.
– Deal with all aspects of post-completion, to include SDLT and Requisitions for HMLR.
– Be pro-active in resolving problems and clients’ needs.
The following skills will be required:
– Qualified solicitor with at least three years’ experience in a similar role.
– Knowledge of CQS Protocol and Anti-Money Laundering legislation.
– A degree of autonomy and possess the drive to succeed.
– Ambitious and enthusiastic.
– Ability to build good client and third party relationships.
– Excellent communicational skills.
– Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures.
– Ability to manage a department and grow your team.
– Be confident and have the ability to work unsupervised.
– Experience in using DPS would be advantageous but not essential.
– Driving licence and use of own vehicle.
– Strong mathematical skills.
